The acquisition of our own server and associated IT infrastructure represents a strategic investment for our national research project COAST3 <\/strong>. It lays the foundation for powerful, secure and long-term controllable data processing, which is often a key prerequisite for modern research. Our clients in the terminal and depot infrastructure sector, as well as their freight forwarding users, will now have access to individual, highly available resources.<\/p>\n\n

Having your own server allows you to efficiently store, analyse and archive large amounts of data. Especially when it comes to sensitive research data, a locally operated infrastructure offers a high degree of data sovereignty and enables compliance with national and institutional data protection and security requirements. At the same time, computing power and storage capacities can be tailored to the specific needs of the project.<\/p>\n\n

Zur Serveranschaffung geh\u00f6rt jedoch mehr als nur die Hardware selbst. Notwendig sind auch eine stabile Netzwerkinfrastruktur, zuverl\u00e4ssige Stromversorgung, Backup- und Redundanzkonzepte sowie geeignete Klimatisierung. Erg\u00e4nzt wird dies durch professionelle Systemadministration, regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Wartung und klare Sicherheitsrichtlinien, um einen dauerhaften und st\u00f6rungsfreien Betrieb sicherzustellen.<\/p>\n\n

Overall, having its own server and infrastructure solution strengthens the technological independence of the COAST3 research project, increases predictability over the course of the project and creates a sustainable basis for future expansions and collaborations in the national research environment.<\/p>\n
