Graduation – HEGEL Hamburg
After three years of intensive research, this research journey came to an end with a pleasant final meeting at the KLU ( Kühne Logistics University ) in Hamburg.
After an overview of the HEGEL project as a whole, each project partner presented the most important results from their respective focus areas. Accordingly, the presentations included contributions from both scientific and business perspectives, addressing various facets of intermodal transport.
The agenda included a brief welcome and a review of the project from the perspective of the 4flow project manager. Project results, milestones, knowledge management, and dissemination by 4flow were presented. KLU presented a presentation on impact analyses in logistics hypernetworks. Data acquisition for logistics hypernetworks was the focus of Fraunhofer IIS, Nuremberg.
For 4PL Intermodal, the modeling and optimization of logistics hypernetworks with the DLR, Berlin, became interesting in the final phase. 4flow presented individual case studies on intermodal potential in logistics hypernetworks. We developed and presented our findings from 4PL Intermodal with the tracking-based analysis of potential in rail freight transport. New visualization ideas came from Ubilabs; untangle networks made easy; with the UFNS Suite for smart logistics!
